Gameplay
As Lone Survivor, you are an optimistic yet outnumbered hero fighting back in an environment besieged by darkness. At the start of each game you select from various characters before selecting your starting weapon to enter an enormous, dark and empty arena which quickly fills up with people from its edge as time progresses; your goal should be to survive 10 minutes as crowds invade from its edge as soon as they appear onscreen - or else face an ultimate and massive foe that emerges at that time point!
Progressions of this game provide a wonderful, two-layer experience, which makes replayability enjoyable and engaging.
- As soon as the game starts, you will experience remarkable power-up progress within 10 minutes. When taking down monsters, they drop gems for experience that you can collect to increase your level and unlock powerful upgrades randomly generated just for you! When this occurs, your level increases temporarily, allowing you to select from an assortment of randomly-generated powerful options!
- Once again, progress can be rewarding and long-lasting! Each monster you conquer and race you complete (win or lose!) will earn "Souls", an in-game currency which you can transfer into the menu for use later. These souls will allow you to purchase upgrades that strengthen you further for future adventures!
How to Play
A key principle guiding your journey through this long night is the two-pronged mantra of survival: Move for Survival and Kill to Evolve. Staying still could mean your death, so you must move through, weave around, and kite the vast mass of people to open an area for yourself. Meanwhile, actively target specific parts of the crowd with weapons in hand to kill monsters and gain the knowledge you need to become stronger and survive longer.
Controls were devised in such a manner to enable chaos-driven, fluid actions:
- Utilize WASD and the Arrow Keys to maneuver your character within the arena.
- Use your mouse to aim your weapon accurately.
- Here comes the fun part - Your character uses their weapon automatically, leaving only precise positioning, dodging skills, and aim to focus on the ever-increasing arsenals of destruction.
Unlockable Content and Skills

- Once you find an ability to summon ghostly spirit fighters automatically for you, upgrading your skills may allow more ghosts and make their attacks stronger when encountering an opponent, culminating in summoning an immense full-screen Ghost Dragon, which releases a torrential river of fire covering an entire population!
- Effective, permanent meta-upgrades: Failure doesn't signal an inevitable end - rather, it marks an exciting new adventure! Souls earned through defeat can be used to strengthen your character over time by upgrading skills in an expansive skill tree. This can increase health, damage, movement speed, the speed of the pickup radius, and earn more experience, among other attributes. You could even use Souls for:
- Unlock a Cast of Marvelous New Characters: Unlock an amazing roster of survivors, each with unique skills and starting weapons. Choose from Scarlett, who increases her fire attack with increasing levels, or the mysterious Shana, who can avoid enemies through sheer speed!
