Gameplay
Your name is Mephistopheles. Mephistopheles is the devious and chaotic spirit who has taken form as an innocent black cat. Your sole devilish mission in their suburban house in "Happy Family' is to cause havoc by constantly and hilariously disrupting their day, week, and possibly all their days and weeks - your Home becoming your battleground and destruction being your aim!
Each Sandbox level in this game offers you an "Annoyance Meter", or checklist, of tasks that aim to cause maximum irritation among its inhabitants. Your goal should be to complete them all before their "Annoyance Meter" fills up; for this to work successfully, you must be creative, resourceful, and savvy enough in your timing to pull off an epic display of destruction without getting caught by law enforcement and taken outside.
How to Play
All successful agents of chaos should adhere to one golden rule that is both simple and elegant - don't do nice things! Chaos art isn't about subtlety - instead, it involves massive, noisy chaotic actions which require patience as people become complacent with your presence before unleashing your fury of chaos! Success lies in learning human patterns before unleashing their full fury of destruction on an unsuspecting public. The key lies in studying these human patterns closely so when their back is turned you can unleash chaos's fury upon them before unleashing chaos's fury upon them all at once!
Learn the art of cat destruction easily using these simple control strategies:
- Use WASD and the Arrow Keys to prowl around a highly interactive house using its Prowling feature.
- Hit the Spacebar to quickly and skillfully make an agile jump over bookshelves, countertops, and other high-up places (where most expensive and fragile objects tend to reside!).
- Use your mouse to navigate around and focus your energies.
- Click Left and use your paws as the perfect weapon against an expensive vase on a mantelpiece! Click to perform an uncannily fast swipe with them - your ideal tool for taking down such beautiful items as sculptures.
- Right-click to activate an explosive pounce that can be used to surprise-slash unsuspecting victims or launch yourself off furniture!

- Your to-do list is an epic work of imagination; each room of your house will require something unique on this task list!
- Within the Living Room, your primary duties may include knocking books off their respective bookshelves; methodically shredding an expensive leather sofa purchased recently; changing all TV channels during an important game, and, of course, tripping over someone carrying an elaborate tray of drinks.
- Goals in the kitchen may include "Pushing all glasses off of countertops", unrolling every square of paper towel across the floor", leaving muddy footprints behind after mopping, tracking muddy paw prints across freshly mopped tiles" or, at its most ambitious: stealing away Thanksgiving turkey!
- Enhance Your Demonic Cat's Abilities: As you complete tasks, each will earn "Sinister Souls." These may then be brought back to the "Hellish Hideout", an underground space near the patio, where powerful upgrades for your pet may be purchased at reasonable costs. Upgrades for "Claws of Calamity" allow them to cut through toilet paper and furniture more rapidly. At the same time, you can improve "Pounce of Pandemonium", making its attack even stronger and reaching areas once inaccessible to it. Unlock astounding supernatural abilities like "the Meow of Misdirection", an invisible ghostly meow you project into another room to draw people away from where you currently are; or use an "Invisibility Cloak," an ordinary cardboard box you can hide inside to conceal yourself and stay unnoticed by people nearby.
- Your New Playgrounds for Pain. Your fight with the law doesn't end in your living room! As soon as you complete all your checklists, new sandboxes with even more levels to wreck will open up for you - from master bedrooms and bathrooms, messy garages, beautiful backyard gardens with extremely diggable soil, as well as their respective neighbors' houses!
