Gameplay

Imagine yourself as an industrious, young Pokémon Trainer living quietly in Pallet Town. One day, however, life changes when legendary Professor Oak offers you an extraordinary chance: to choose and train a Pokémon partner as part of his Pokedex database, with no one ever being as determined to accomplish such an achievement before now! Your goal must be nothing less than being the best trainer there ever was by becoming the Kanto region Champion by defeating all eight strong Gym Leaders to earn badges before showing your superior abilities by beating the Elite Four to become the Pokémon League Champion yourself! But your journey won't be straightforward; your ability will constantly be tested by an equally confident and determined Rival who always appears one step ahead. Team Rocket, an illicit organization employing Pokémon for illegal and selfish schemes throughout Kanto, is using Pokémon to cause trouble by employing grunts from Team Rocket's grunt squads against you to further their plans; your task is to stop Team Rocket's plans altogether before Giovanni, their leader, appears and puts an end to them! On your epic adventure from Rock Tunnel through Celadon City, before finishing on Cinnabar Island itself, and ultimately meeting Giovanni himself at last!

How to Play

An effective Pokémon Master knows the key to victory is strategy! Raising strong Pokémon is essential, but victory lies within yourself! Each type has strengths and weaknesses that should be considered during battle, such as Water being effective against fire. In contrast, fire can easily handle grass (Grass is effective against Water!). Knowing these matchups allows one to defeat even difficult gym instructors! It's simple to jump right in with this RPG thanks to traditional controls, which set a precedent in this genre:

Utilize the Arrow Keys (WASD) to explore Kanto. Kanto region.
Press "Z" (or enter) to interact with people, view objects, and confirm your choices during battles.
