Instead of collecting pairs, Tap 3 Mahjong requires you to collect at least three identical tiles of the same kind at a time by tapping each tile onto a bar with limited space on the lower right side of your screen and moving them with each tap. Once three identical tiles have been collected within this bar at once, they can be eliminated before it fills, and you lose! If it becomes full as soon as three identical ones remain inside, it will become lost forever!
Tiles will often be placed over other tiles, so you only tap on those on top, making the game challenging but manageable. Be careful with where and when you tap so as not to end up with no matches left to pick from and an overcrowded bar!
